The Wedding Countdown has begun!!! In a few short weeks, you will be joining us in New Orleans to celebrate our love in matrimony. As we prepare for your arrival, please review the details below to ensure this is a positive experience for everyone.

1. Our wedding ceremony will be Unplugged, which means we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone for photos or videos during the ceremony. Please silence your cell phones as well.This ensures we can have a sacred experience where everyone is fully present. It also ensures the photographers can get all the shots they need.

2. The color theme for our wedding is the Peacock Feather, this includes shades of Green, Purple, Navy, Teal, Brown. We kindly ask everyone to adhere to the color theme and no white please.

3. Bring your comfortable shoes!! There will be a 2nd Line parade between the wedding ceremony and the reception just for our party. A second line is a New Orleans tradition that includes a brass band, handkerchiefs and REAL GOOD TIME!! We will meet the band close to the reception venue to take part in this celebratory parade. There is a parking lot next to the reception venue for your convenience. The second line will last 20-25 minutes. Please note, there will be safety instructions that we need to follow and they will be given when we gather for the parade.

4. It will be very warm in NOLA. Due to the nature of the wedding, which is partially outdoors, we ask that you prepare yourself for warm weather during the ceremony. We will have fans on-hand, please bring hydration, clothes, whatever you need to make yourself comfortable. We will be outside in a shaded area for the ceremony and second line.

5. We know that circumstances arise prior to special occasions. In the event you (or a portion of your party) are unable to make the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible. If you need to cancel, please let us know by May 15th. We would like to ensure our guest count remains accurate.

6. The hotel blocks are available until May 4th. If you have not made arrangements for accommodations, please consider one of our designated hotel blocks. The Hyatt is directly across the street from the reception venue, which is in the Central Business District. There is a medical conference taking place during the same week as the wedding and hotels are limited. It is advised to make your arrangements as soon as possible.
